Family Cruises

Cruising is an excellent vacation for your family. With today's hectic pace, a cruise provides you with much deserved quality time with your family. The ideal vacation should give you a balance between playtime with your children and relaxation time for yourself. The ship's staff has activities planned for everyone, as a family and individually. There are special kid's provisions supervised by professional youth coordinators to keep them entertained and allow them to make new friends. Then, mom and dad can relax and have some private time together. In short, your family can enjoy separate vacations... together.
Carnival Cruises: Camp Carnival
When you're in the mood to vacation, you want the whole family to have a great time. That's why Carnival offers you and your children one of the most popular year-round programs on land or sea... Camp Carnival.
Camp Carnival has been designed with a wide range of activities for every age group - so even our youngest guests enjoy their carnival cruise to the max. It's no wonder more families choose Carnival than any other cruise line!
All Carnival ships have a children's playroom, video games, and children's wading pools. On the Fantasy, Ecstasy, Sensation, Imagination, Inspiration and Fascination, there are two playrooms; one is geared toward Toddlers (ages 2-4) and the other for Juniors and Intermediates (ages 5-12). There are daily scheduled hours for use of the waterslide on both sea days and days in port. By order of the Captain, each child must be at least 46" tall and be able to swim in order to use the slide. Children may attend whichever activities they choose and are free to come and go as they please unless otherwise requested by the child's parent or guardian with the Youth Staff on duty. Camp Carnival is not designed as a "day-care" program. Our children's program is designed so that families are able to enjoy "quality family time" together, and yet have the choice of being with peers of their own age, whenever desired. Scheduled activities run from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM when the ship is at sea. On port days, supervised freeplay runs from 9:00 AM until approximately 3:00 PM; scheduled activities then resume at 3:00 PM until 10:00 PM. There is no charge for the Camp Carnival scheduled activities. There are no scheduled activities from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM on any day. Children are expected to eat meals with their parents during their scheduled dinner seating. During the summer months and holiday sailings, we offer a "Kids-Only" meal, which enables kids of all ages to dine with Camp Carnival staff members ONE night during the cruise at the Lido Restaurant

Norwegian Cruise Line Family Cruises
You want to go here, your kids want to go there. You want to do this, your kids want to do that. You want to see one thing, they want to see another.
Thankfully, there is a place to find some common ground. Of all places, at sea—with a Norwegian Cruise Line family cruise.
For your kids, it's a nonstop array of interesting things to do, kids to meet, and activities that would tire you out just thinking about them. For you, on the other hand, it's nonstop stopping. Snooze on a beach chair. Get to that book that's been gathering dust. Or simply become a lizard on a rock in the sun.
After a lot of thought, our specially trained youth coordinators put together an impressive bag of tricks for your kids. They'll have shows, crafts, parades, sports, snacks, games, parties, stories, tours, and contests just to name a few. In fact, we've gone so far as to include activities for every age group.
Think about it: You get to do something that's entirely in the best interests of your children, yet is almost sinfully indulgent at the same time.
